 Patient survey delivers positive results for Wyre Forest GP practices

GP practices across Wyre Forest have again been rated amongst the best in the country for overall patient experience in the latest GP patient survey, conducted by NHS England.

The survey asks patients to answer questions about their surgery on areas like how easy it was to book an appointment, waiting times, experience of out of hours services and overall experience of using their surgery.

Many GP practices in Wyre Forest were rated above the national average in a number of areas including success in getting an appointment (90% good or very good), convenience of appointments (95%), confidence and trust in their GP (94%) and overall experience of the GP surgery (91%).

The survey results were taken from two separate periods, January to March 2015 and July to September 2015.

Jan Butterworth, Head of Primary Care for NHS Wyre Forest Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “It’s great to see that 91% of patients across Wyre Forest rate their experience with their GP surgery as good or very good, this is the highest in the local area.

“We want a patient’s experience with their GP practice to be as positive as possible. It’s important that patients can access the right service at the right time for them, with the confidence that they’re getting the best help and advice available.

“We’re continually working with practices across the county to improve the services that are available to all residents in the Wyre Forest.”
