Simon Hairsnape, Chief Officer of NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG and NHS Wyre Forest CCG, will be leaving his role next month to join Herefordshire CCG on secondment.
Simon was appointed as the CCG Chief Officer in January 2013 after holding the post of Director of Delivery / Managing Director of NHS Worcestershire.
After an eight-year career as a key health leader in Worcestershire, Simon will be taking up the role as Chief Officer / Accountable Officer for Herefordshire CCG until 31st March 2017.
Simon Hairsnape said: “It was never going to be an easy decision to leave the CCGs but I felt it was the right time to take on the new challenge. I am very pleased with everything that we have achieved since the CCGs formed three years ago and it has been a privilege to serve the local population. I have enjoyed working with the GPs and thank them for their significant contribution to commissioning.
“I have a background in Herefordshire and live locally so it made the decision a little easier.”
Dr Richard Davies, Interim Clinical Chair of NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG said: “On behalf of the Governing Body, and the wider CCG, I would like to thank Simon for his commitment and hard work.
“Simon has worked tirelessly for the CCG and he will be missed by us all. During his time in Worcestershire his experience and professionalism has been of great benefit to the whole health economy. Our loss will be Herefordshire’s gain and I wish him all the best for the future.”
